"She is science" is an educational art project STEM is FEM with the support of the international organizations UN Women in Ukraine and the United Nations Children's Fund in Ukraine (UNICEF). Its purpose is to tell about the achievements of Ukrainian women scientists, to interest young people in science, as well as to refute the myth that science is an exclusively male affair.
The project is part of the UN Women of the Generation Equality campaign, to promote gender parity among young people and ensure women's leadership in technology and innovation.
561 works from all over Ukraine were submitted to the essay contest about 12 scientists within the framework of our project. The winner of the Grand Prix was Anastasia Suvorova, author of an essay about Natalia Atamas.
You can get acquainted with 12 portraits of Ukrainian scientists depicted by modern Ukrainian illustrators, and with the essays of the winners about each of these figures on this page. More information about the art project you can find here.
